Lunchtime Shopping!

Hello Again! I decided to take a trip to Marshall's on my lunch break today. I'm going away for the weekend, and I've been wanting some new shoes for my trip. I looked at a bunch of different options, and came back with two adorable pairs of flats, which will be perfect for walking around Toronto this weekend!

Light Brown Oxford-Style Flats bySteve Madden
Jamie (my best friend) spotted these for me, and I fell in love!
On clearance for $27 at Marshall's

There is also a possible trip to Target in my future today. There's a pair of camel wedges I've had my eye on, and I just might have to get them!

Printed Pants

Good Morning All! I hope everyone is having a good day so far. I know I am, because I'm wearing my favorite pair of printed pants :) I first stumbled upon these pants about a month ago at JC Penney. I fell in love with them, but didn't bother trying them on because I was convinced they wouldn't look right on my frame. I decided to buy the matching shirt instead. More recently, however, I went back to the store and decided that I should at least try them on. I did just that and was amazed at how well they fit and how nice they looked on me. Every time I wear them now, I get a little more pep in my step and no matter what happens it feels like a good day.

Aren't they just fabulous?
Pants $25 (JC Penney), Sweater (JC Penney, old), Belt (JC Penney, old)
Now on to accessories...

I have a lot of trouble photographing shoes on my feet. I'm looking for a good tripod so I can play
with some different camera angles. But for now, here's a photo of the flats from the PayLess website.
$16.99 (PayLess)

A smaller version of the bow I wore yesterday. Same fabric, handmade by me :)

Aren't these earrings adorable? I made them myself last night. After the Trick-or-Treaters
had gone home (we only got one!) I went out and bought a few yards of new fabric.
I spotted this green remnant with a circle print and decided it would be perfect for earrings.
I cut out six little circles, folded them in quarters, and layered them on thread
to make the puff at the bottom.

I've obviously made it clear that I do a lot of crafting. When I moved back in August,
I lost my regular scissors, and have been sharing one pair with my room mates,
which is a pain. Last night I spotted these fabulous cheetah scissors, and just HAD to get them!
Scissors $14 from Walmart

Happy Almost-Friday Everyone!

Happy Halloween!

Good Morning and HAPPY HALLOWEEN everyone! I hope everyone's day is off to a fabulous start :) I'm very excited for today, as it marks my very first style post on this blog!

My super-cheesy Halloween Costume: Error 404: Costume Not Found!

After taking the initial photo (Thanks Jamie!) I realized you
can't see my face very well, so I took a close-up.

How perfectly festive are these spider earrings?
$25 from Jessie at BugZ (Etsy Store going live tomorrow!)

I love all things cheetah! It has the ability to show off the more
wild side of my style while still looking classy!
Hairbow handmade by your's truly :)

This is a handmade bracelet that I purchased at a breast cancer awareness event.
I thought it was a fitting accessory, as today is the final day of October,
Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

I could not for the life of me get a good photo of my shoes on my feet,
so here's the photo from the eBay listing I bought them from!

Hello!

Hello there, and thank you for taking the time to check out my blog! I'm very excited to get started on this new venture. My name is Chelsea, and I love fashion! There are few better ways to start the day than with a mug of hot coffee and putting together a fun outfit. I'm a firm believer that a good outfit can pull an entire day together, so I try to look my best each and every day.

As you might have read in my "About Me" section, there are two major reasons that I created this blog. First is my love of fashion. Second is my desire to create a style blog that my fellow full-bodied women can relate to. I love reading style blogs, and have several that I read daily. My naturally curvy hips, however, can sometimes make it hard for me to wear brands that my favorite bloggers wear every day.

I will be posting a daily photo of my outfit for the day, starting tomorrow. Be on the lookout for an adorably cheesy Halloween costume paired with some fabulous accessories! Until then, I'll leave you with one of my favorite quotes from Coco Chanel:

"Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street. Fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening."
